Japanese and their damn toilet fascination. Like I get that they have really well equipped and hightech toilets, but it's nothing to literally highlight in your story. Nobody in these stories ever explains what they do about the plumbing, because that's the actual interesting, important and groundbreaking part that makes modern houses and toilets work.
