The Ancient Magus' Bride - Vol. 11 Ch. 51 - The cowl does not make the monk. II

@Purplelibraryguy i agree with the most part, but their world also has universities and scientific institutions dedicated to studying magic so is not like the topic is all that hidden from everyday life, rather it seems that jinxes themselves are rare things that he had to explain because not even Ainsworth was familiarised with them. So i guess you do have a point.

@Doomroar I'm pretty sure those places, such as the school our heroes are currently going to, are hidden, unknown to normal people. This world seems to be very much one of those "magic and critters exist but only the Illuminated are aware of it" kind of deals.
@Kisato Ha! Who's Hari Seldon then?

@Kisato hey, hey, hey! you need to have clearance level 3 or higher to go around discussing [REDACTED] in public! i am informing the O5 about this.

Does this mean the black cat outside her appartment saved Chise from her mother?

my mans joeseph has been suffering for centuries and all he needed to do is eat a cookie... from a priest....

Get into bad times. Do drugs. Natural progression.

I guess I'm doing it wrong as I only did drugs during the good times. Well, illegal drugs at least. Now I'm just heavily addicted to caffeine and perpetually miserable.
Sometimes I wonder if my life would get better if I wasn't constantly necking energy drinks, but if I go without for a few days I'm barely capable of consciousness. I should probably keep some coffee around for emergencies or something.
