@probablyotaku unlike other asian languages like japanese which heavily genders their words, chinese does not, they are technically saying "get them" not "get her/him" ... there are ways to gender things but its more by, the combination of words used, rather then an explicit word itself

Translators who dont natively speak english tend to not understand how "pronouns" work and just translate it however they feel like on the fly, hence making stuff like "she" when they are clearly referring to a man etc... read enough manhua and you get used to it, sadly most manhua translators are chinese themselves and hence dont understand english pronouns

@Drinkfist ive read manhua where a character is called she, then he, then she, then "they" or "them", then he then she .... all in the same chapter.... the translators who work on chinese manhua are extremely lazy and dont give enough care to actually remember the correct pronoun usage (because most dont even understand english and dont realize "he/she" are extremely important words in sentence understanding... they assume its just another transitory word
