The Monster Duchess and Contract Princess - Ch. 48

@Kiwibird21 I was thinking the same, but it could just as easily be foreshadowing that someone broke in to maybe set something up. But either way, she opened the window now, so nobody's gonna think about investigating it, whoops.

@Jeikob even a genius could still fall from a wicked people who deceive in daily basis. It's the experience that counts

? genius is not perfect, they can still really bad or lack at something else
and EQ exist too

Please, please protecc this precious child. This chapter didn't do much, but there was a lot of wholesome healing and that's very welcome.

That said, she's been so sweet and adorable and wholesome lately that it's easy to forget. Leslie isn't just a cute child who captures the heart of anyone with a soul. She's also incredibly smart. Even though she's ignorant to the world, she's experienced enough life to not be called naive, and clearly understood her sister's game with a clear head.

Every damn chapter I feel either like:
Awwwwww!
or
AGGHHHHHH!!!! Gotta put the head of the separados on a pitchfork!

It's good that she's mulling over her encounter with Eli more rationally and didn't let her emotions get to her.

As for the Sperado's resilience, it has Dowager written all over it. It's a damn shame they still haven't been crushed completely already.

Her interaction with the Duchess is as sweet as ever. God help whatever bastard tries to disrupt their picnic.

Mother Salvatore really should just ask Leslie to be her daughter forever. The girl's so insecure because she doesn't feel worthy of asking, but nobody notices...
