... Actually, it's the other way around. Virginity and purity are still valued in a good chunk of Asian countries, from the middle East, to India, to Korea and China as well as Japan. It's mostly in Western ones where people stopped caring.

Virginity is Highly Valued here in The Philippines and it has one of the more "western" leaning values here in South East Asia, as the main Focus here is the Family not the Individual (the thing about your actions bringing Shame on your Family is very real here)
