This Time I Will Definitely Be Happy! - Vol. 3 Ch. 14

Based on spoilers, this might be a good thing? Or at least well intended. Even with those spoilers it's hard to say for certain. The will of the Divine and the actions of their servants aren't always in alignment.

Graham, me thinks, will not be pleased. Nor will the various political powers for a host of reasons.

Huuuuuuuuh? That's basically kidnapping. Kidnapping Louisa and the entire royal family to boot. I'm not sure this church thought this through o_O

I don't understand but love every chapter, wtf is going on with the chapter endings in this manga

@Chet31
OH yeah that makes sense...
The combined "We shall take her under our care"
and the flying island implied they were getting abducted haha
but now that i think about it, why would they abduact everyone including the king?
so I guess holy land is acutally a flying fortress.

Well the church wouldn't abduct her unless she was important to the church, so they must think she's like an aspect of the Goddess at the very least. A fragment of her power given a mortal body. Perhaps that memory of her as an isekai'd Japanese is where it all started, an accident happened and her and the person who became the Maou were brought to the world, and to save her life, a piece of the goddesses power was given to her. So she is both the Goddess and not the Goddess. Perhaps there's an evil God and a pure Goddess who have been fighting for domination of the world and it involved third parties.

@feha they didn't pick up the building they were in, the flying building is what they see out of the window.

According to the RAW
, what was freely available at least. The MC and the hero party all went up to that floating castle. The big reveal came in chapter 20-21. From these chapter, I am guessing that the MC was "Jun". She was originally isekaied into this world. She was involved with the *hero*. They were betrayed by the king or the nobles. He slaughter them all and put together a plan to see her again. I wonder if he was the one that start this religion organization in order to find and protect his *Jun*.

@feha It's probably the true financial records for that branch of the church. She most likely was double-bookkeeping, where she hands in a fake record to the central church and kept that one to keep track of the actual amount of donations received.

My hypothesis is the MC lookslike the bride of maou, so maou put a curse on her whenever she is with the hero they will be broken up after the hero defeated maou. For a reason why she's always become the hero childhood friend must be the interference by the goddess

So the Church definitely knows about her status as a reincarnated person. However, the question is; To what extent? Even the FMC here doesn't know how many times she's reincarnated. She only remembers a handful of her past lives, and had completely forgotten about her first life (a girl from another world).

The Church is most likely going to try and protect her from the curse. We all know the curse puts her and the Hero in a tragic end, and I'm gonna guess the Church has attempted this before, probably during one of the past lives she can't remember. If they haven't, then they must be trying it for the first time. The Hero can take care of himself so it's the FMC they have to worry about.

I love this nuanced take on what the church is and how it functions in this world.

If I had to wager a guess, I'd say in her first life she fell for the 'Demon King' and he likewise fell for her, and the 'Hero' of that life wanted her for himself. When she didn't reciprocate the feelings the 'Goddess' sided with the 'Hero' and placed a reincarnation curse on her that would only break if she was to find the 'Demon King' and they were to fall in love again. Thus the 'Hero' of each life is tasked with killing the 'Demon King' before they can meet and she gets back whatever powers she had.

As for her powers, I'd say that she was originally 'Isekai'd' here for one of the standard reasons, and gained fabulous power because of it. However, when she fell for the 'Demon King', rather than doing as the Goddess wanted and destroying him, she was angered and sealed her powers away. Only evidence I have for this part of the theory is page 16 of chapter 11 were she can be seen with a girl in a school uniform.

@blackout4465 I was thinking around the same lines, like she was a "demon queen" with her first incarnation isekai powers, so that's why she wouldn't have a baptisal name, being the queen of demons how would youe expect such "unholy being" to be blessed and protected by the goddess.
