Please forgive me if this sounds like a stupid question, since I don't know anything about accounting, but what would be the need to have a record of the real donation amount?

If you get $100 donations, you pocket $20 and give the church $80 and you write it down as $80 donation, nobody would know you pocket $20. It's not like the peasants who donated would make a tax-deductible tax return statement. Why would she need a real book and a fake book? She can just have one book, which details what she wants people to know and nobody will know better.

Where is everybody getting the whole "she's kidnapping the whole royal family" thing from? There's nothing in the manga to support that, priestess-loli-chan is just asking for MC to go with her, not the king.

If you're skimming an assload of money you'll want to keep track of how much you actually have, plus it would have a copy of the information recorded in the fake book so if anyone asked about it you can give the "correct" amount without catching yourself in a lie.

lol. i forget what the first chapters said, so i may (ok more like most likely) be wrong but maybe she was like a goddess who fell in love w a human and came down to be w him but lost all her memories.. and then because she’s a goddess she can’t exactly die forever so she gets reincarnated again and again. LOL i need to reread, thats probably not the case bc it sounds too cliche for this manga

@Aichan : That requires he is being given the money directly, and there are no other records of the amounts. But you would expect multiple people to be involved in collections/donations. not impossible though unlikely the only thing.

It would be likely he has been padding costs and saying things cost 100 when they cost 90 and pocketing the difference, or even inserting fake costs. which could be caught if the receipts were audited.

First few chapters: I feel like I understand the direction this series is going in. Reincarnation stuff is just backstory for the character's motivation to be independent.

Last few chapters: I had no idea the direction the series was going in or where it's going now. That reincarnation stuff is looking pretty damn plot relevant now.

I am pleasantly surprised, and probably a lot more interested in the series now than I was at first.

@Akiaji lol, if anything she is probably some past isekai'd japanese that has some power or soul connection to that demon lord looking dude and maybe the hero too. It is that link t hat might cause her soul to reincarnate in the same cycle as the demon king. I only say this because she and that other dude who talks to the hero are the only 2 who look far more like japanese
