Not that I really care about it too much I just think it's a bit strange but sure why not? Lol I wonder if it's a conscious choice though to switch things up by the authors or if it's just simply a case of the author using names that are foreign to them and thus they aren't really sure if the name is considered male/female/uni. Idk
I would think it's usually more of the latter... I mean I'm not familiar with Korean names myself (and not much better with Japanese names either) so if I were to write a story in a setting that would need an Asian name if I didn't research it carefully before naming characters I'm almost certain that I'd make similar mistakes?
Hmm... But I don't really mind it. It's just a bit different is all. Not necessarily a bad thing to me
