BBBBBorrrrrrinnnngggg!!!!!!!! Author should not add this pointless slavering. I consider fights in novel, not torment

Yeah, this slavery thing is getting really annoying already, I hope it ends in the next chapter.

oh wow i feel so so soooo sympathy for the poor cat girl she doing anything for her poor sister ....yaa fuck off Author she going to drop dead

"why did THAT turn me on?" is a question I'm constantly asking myself whenever I read a new chapter.

Isn't this world all just a dream, akin to Link's Awakening? None of these terrible, terrible characters will exist once the "target girl" wakes up.

Maybe the little cat sister will turn into a bird.

I always knew the perpetrator of this manga was a horndog, and the manga itself, little more than a thinly veiled vehicle for drawing softcore porn.
I realized this long ago, and since the story wasn't really all that interesting, (just a generic shonen battle manga with continuous power-ups, this-isn't-even-my-final-form antagonists, and interludes filled with sexy times) I gave it a hard pass. The art was good, but not enough to carry the manga by itself.

So I see a new chapter today, and decide to check it out of morbid curiosity.

Oh my!

The author certainly has abandoned any pretense about what he's drawing, or why.

Does he draw his own doujins?

in depth fucked up torture scene but the sex is offscreen, what are these priorities?????

Arc has been meh as fuck so far
everyone they meet is an asshole except for a fellow slave
sold into slavery immediately
oh wow they lost all their possesions and they're weak as hell in this world that suc-- power up time
but the one who sold 3+ people into slavery has a sick sister! she's just helping her family! like that's even praiseworthy you're ruining people's lives just to temporarily extend ONE.
Can't wait for this shit to end.

What's happening to them in this world is not technically real. The mangaka using this fact to up the edge, gore and ecchi to uncomfortable limits. It's more or less an experimental arc. Things will be back to usual once he gets it out of his system.

So, with the revalations in this chapter, here's my thoughts.

Amasogi exist because desires get out of hand. The owner of the amasogi either hates what happens to the little sister figure in the story and tries to avert it, or has someone in their real life they can't save (or couldn't save), and thus escapes into the book to live out a fantasy (which includes rescuing a substitute for the person they can't help). As far as she (presumably, but can't be sure) is concerned, nobody here is actually REAL, so she doesn't consider what she's doing wrong. They're like video game characters to her, she gets what she wants and nobody actually gets hurt.

Given what we've seen previously where amasogi possessors being unable to give up their desires, she'll probably go full on "I'm an asshole who doesn't care that I sold actual people into slavery", or the amasogi will turn on her and try to force her to choose it over being a decent person. It's hard to say...and I'm honestly not sure I care, either. Not really a fan of this arc, personally.

@Shimatta

Eh, methinks you're reading too much into it.

Amasogi exist because; plot devices.
First page scenes exist because of PLOT!

I think the author is misreading the audience. This shit is just annoying. This entire arc has been total garbage. The justification for the cat girl was pathetically lame and cliche, the "evil" characters and slavery shit is just generic hate porn that gets nothing but a cheap rise out of the audience (Looking at you Shield Hero) and the arc itself is just time killing garbage that adds nothing. I hate most harems, and almost all ecchi harems, it'd be a fucking shame for this manga to be one of them. The art is fantastic and the story was enjoyable enough up until this arc. It's like this guy doesn't know Shokugeki exists, dragging out a series just makes people hate your manga, and it didn't take long for the fans to turn on Shokugeki.
