U Kill I Cook - Ch. 12 - Draw Up a Contract

Aaaaand that concludes the introductory arc of this series! From next chapter onwards, expect a series of slice-of-life craziness, along with a bit of angst sprinkled here and there hehe. And of course, look forward to future developments between our two main leads~

This girl has more common sense than some of the readers calling her stupid for not wanting to stay with the assassin before.

She literally explains it clearly this chapter.

Also, apparently, a lot of people are okay with Stockholm syndrome.

FeMC's reactions are as golden as always LOL

and man he's a pretty mellow assassin huh, or is it because he got "tamed" from eating her meal ?

Author's afterword is hilarious as always.

I've always liked her. Her take as a protagonist is quite different and unique plus all her actions so far have been completely rational.

Trying to avoid ML BECAUSE he can swiftly kill her (and that depends on how far her cooking can take her)
Two, ML's companion just fed her actual poison without hesitation
Third, she has somehow become a wanted person simply because she's the only survivor (one measly assistant could cause the end of such a big household? Sure, she could've sold information, but not enough to justify her in the wanted list, I guess not for me at least)
Lastly, after escaping authorities, she is saved by refugees who end up wanting to sell her as a slave/prostitute. She had no time for a breather (if anything, her brief moment of bliss was only during her escape and after that, all hell still went loose)

Loving the ML though. Quite a unique take as well. I wonder if he's the type where he lacks the... knowledge and experience of green minded people.

@konohananiji oooohhhh, looking forward to the fluff but not the angst. Seriously, can we keep the angst brief, stay with the fluff and comedy

Leads are hilarious! MC should give some language lesson to ML aside from cooking for him...specially praising!

Honestly what's the difference between working for an assassin and a soldier or general? They are both hired Killers one just kills in secret for money.

He's lacking common sense but he certainly sounds like he'll be a good "boss". (I honestly can't picture him as acting like an actual boss beyond "i'm hungry, feed meeee", considering the cute little blushy face he makes when she approaches him)

@LunaDW the difference is that in one case, the state, when finding one, shall impose pœnalties, and not upon the other.
There is not an issue of "right"; that is simply but one of "might" and consequences. It's quite simple: the armyman has the allegiance of the state, which is a very powerful entity with a lot of resources to protect what it considers it's allies; the assassin is bereft of such benefits. However, in return for such protection the state demands that the armyman follow it's orders, and the assassin is obviously not bound by any such demands, already living outside of the grace of the state.

Cute! I can't wait till the day he realizes the most delicious flavor of all is that of her lips KJWNSDAKJWD sorry guys I'm romance starved, I'm embarrassing.

Can second the Holy Chef, Crazy Empress being amazing. I may or may not have watched ahead of the translation for it.

"but I never asked for your consent..."
wow, a rare male mc that realises that?
Heck, he even apologises.
