@keks503 I'm not sure if it's mentioned here, but in the novel it says that Cassian's murder of Yunifer was his way of atoning for his past behavior towards Rael. Basically it was too late for Cassian to get back with Rael, especially now that she was happy with Ishid, so he decides to remove the last obstacle she had towards happiness, which way Yunifer.
