He doesn't get it. Regardless of Mashuu feeling "that way" about Sakoto, she is still very special to him, which is why he responded the way that he did about "viewing her as a woman". She's not a sex object to him she is someone who he loves dearly. Their bond goes beyond an adolescent crush.

Shiikawa is such an interesting character lol. Trying to get Satoko to pay attention to him by getting engaged, gatekeeping her, acting like he's mature when really he's more of a child than Mashuu! I laughed when he couldn't answer whether Satoko actually liked him.

look...people be hatin' on the shiikawa guy right....i see it as a normal human being.
he fell in love, and after all of those short relationship, he felt weird of how it all ends.

and yet some good looking high schooler took it from him, and made him realize that after all those years.... that she doesn't love him back.

of course he is going to be salty. Not a good attitude, but its basically a normal human being... the character feels real. now, it would be amazing if its going to be a character development for ma BOI shiikawa here, that he would move on to the "acceptance" stage.

dont get me wrong. I like mashu character. its unrealistic, fantasy-like characters. a human thats able to see and analyze the whole picture, and had a really, really, broad perspective on how
he sees "Life" is. it is amazing how pure he is. But, it becames an idol and i cant relate to it. thats why i like that satoko isnt all that, but more "Human" in this relationship.
