Yuusha, Yamemasu - Vol. 3 Ch. 12.5 - Demon King, Start ⑤

@feha go check out comment section of the previous chapter lol.

As for peeps asking whether this got axed or not: there will be new arc after this arc conclude.

Wow this is even terrible considering the next couple of chapters.

Is that a burger you ask? Of course it is.

It’s a Mexican burger with a crisp-toasted flat bun, ground patty, shredded veggies, grated cheese, topped with Mexicano special sauce.

What a stupid ass-pull. So generations of demon lords concocted a spell to defeat one individual but somehow none of them, not even the current demon lord, ever thought to use it against him? I mean this is a pretty bad arc in an abysmal story, but that's still no excuse...

@ChubacaJones Part of this asspull is long casting time and huge power usage. The only reason she's landing this in a "real fight" is because it wasn't actually a real fight to begin with. People don't usually just stand there to get hit by long cast time and slow travel speed super spells.

@mahtan If you ask someone for a burger, you won't be given a taco.

@Simpleton
You do realize that if you ask someone for a Taco in the USA you will not receive a taco either, right?
Just because the common use of a word by the ignorant masses is one doesn't mean it is the only meaning for the word, many times it isn't even the correct one.
The best example I have for two words that are commonly misused because of media and common usage are "sociopath" and "psychopath", by common use psychopath is the murderous one when in reality sociopath is the murderous one and taking it one step further both words are used for the same condition in different degree of affection.

@mahtan Taco is a word that exists in many languages, and yet the meaning of the word might differ from country to country (or even have several meanings in the same country).

Similarly many words are losing their old meanings, or gaining new ones (like your example of sociopath/psychopath, or for an older one schizophrenic/split personality one), or how "latte" ("milk") now usually means "coffee with milk in". Or to stick to Japan since we're in a manga site, "Curry" is either a Japanese sweet stew which even when "hot" is pretty mild, or an Indian hot and spicy stew (that can be really hot).

I'll agree with (what I think is) your implied meaning, that when words change their value or meaning it risks leading to misunderstandings that might sometimes be humorous but might sometimes be outright dangerous.
Of course, usually people can catch it by context, if communication is actually going on. Few people will hear "Gimme some sugar, baby" and believe it's about asking an infant for a lump of sugar.

(Btw, my main reason for dragging you in was to get a reason to post the related existential comics link and your phrasing seemed to be the one most suited to my purpose ;)
(And I'm brought up to ping people I quote.)
