@KafukaPalazzo Sakuma literally pickled the vegetables using him as a source for the brine, that's the joke.
The angel just thought she meant the guy knew how to pickle vegetables normally.

It's not just that she's using his tears as a flavoring for the brine- that's a minor quip since it's in such small text and not encompassed in a balloon- it's that she's using him as the pickling stone, ie a weight to hold the vegetables down and totally submerged in the brine, that's really the punchline. The angel thinks he helped make them in the conventional sense of "making with" like they did it together; not that he was literally a tool used like one would use a spatula.

@TheGTF That makes a lot more sense. I'm not at all familiar with the pickling process so I didn't catch on that (though I understood she meant using Yuuutsu-kun as a tool, I just thought she meant as the brine). Thanks for the clarificattion.
