Dungeon Meshi - Vol. 2 Ch. 14 - Kelpie

How strangely wholesome

This manga and Made In Abyss remind me of each other, in a way

I am very glad this chapter showed us that Senshi is not all-knowing. I mean, it wouldn't be a bad manga if he just continued to always know the right way through every situation, but for him to show imperfection makes this more mature...

Senshi is not without his weaknesses and Marcille shouldn't always be the butt of the joke. This was a nice chapter.

A story of betrayal, crafting, bathing, and water walking ninjutsu all in one setting. Great job

This chapter.

So blood, fat, and hair act as anti-magic? I wonder if the elf have that hairstyle because the magic comes from her head and the hair act as a sort of magic reflector so the magic will not radiate around her but instead focus and condense towards where she is facing.

@DANDAN_THE_DANDAN it was the blood (and other things) of many different monsters he fought, so its possible it was what caused that effect: either the blood of a specific monster or a combination of many of them.

Kelpie = Kelp + Pie , even its name is tasty , lol .

Logic from another good Gourmet Manga , Kui Tan : Tonight , I'll dine on these animals , and absorb them to my marrow , and so extend their lives . To eat food is to gain its life . With your body , you extend the life of the food . And so , eating is a sacred ritual that binds lives together .

The last page , does Senshi parody Titanic ? "Im the King of the World" . Or does he form a cross and parody Jesus with his Water Walk ability ? Lol .

I laughed. XD Senshi's transformation is so funny. But, yeah, it's still sad about his pet(?). A lot of feelings in one chapter once again. Yup. It's great.

The beard guy made soap by a chemical reaction called Saponification.
Saponification is:
Lipid(fat and olive oil) + base(ash) = soap + glycerol.
Didn't expect organic chemistry to come in handy here
