@Acolytus The bell is magically linked to Shuro's. He gives it to Laius when they parted ways (the second time), and it is mentioned in a later chapter that it jingles every time Laius walks.

@omegax @acolytus Sureau gave Laius the bell to ring if he was in trouble, it's connected to another bell that Sureau has.

(In another chapter it was mentioned Laius dumped his bell in the bottom of his bag where it was rolling around and ringing the entire time, which is why he's not alarmed by it, just startled and annoyed lol)

It also just occurred to me the bell might play into a boy-who-called-wolf-esque plot point in future when the party is actually trying to call for help ?
