I hope that they will find that douchebag in trouble, and when they go on to ignore him, he'll be like "wtf how is my charm not working anymore," because Carol doesn't seem like she will move on without him saying up front that he jinxed her

Buuuut Carol would probably heal him, as if he deserves that. Fine. Be an angel. Just leave some chunks out of him. Keep him alive, but disfigured enough that his seduction won't work on others

so where are her parents? her dad left his well paying job to go live in the village with his sick wife so i doubt he would just pack up and return to the city just like that and the shop was covered in dust making it seem like neither parents have been there in years and she didn't even go to visit them when she came home so i'm assuming they aren't in the village so where are they?

or maybe they're dead and we were told this in chapter 1 and i've just forgotten, that's totally possible too

Kaido heard from a merchant praising the hero party that made him felt the story is rather weird.

So he went to find the healer girl who's been chased out of party, and heard from her how the 'monsters' the hero supposedly killed half of their flock (with no specific numbers mentioned) were just mountain monkeys.
And how when she left those losers behind, later on when the hero came back and claimed she's a traitor, somehow the townsfolk immediately believed him.

then Kaido ran into 3 of the party members, and recorded their bragging of their heroic deeds just in case

Then mountain monkeys attacked the town
The 3 freaked out and told off the people asking for their help.

Kaido saved people, then the asshole show up with Carol in tow.
The 3 immediately run over and ask him to do something about the townsfolk.
Kaido got a bad feeling and tried to get Carol away, but asshole is like 'you're going with us, right?'
And so she said goodbye to Kaido.
Btw, immediately the 3 fucks demanded her hand over all her medicines, but when she told them she doesn't have any they started berating her.

But yeah, ch 7 is basically Kaido establishing the asshole hero as THE main culprit of everything.

...And next month the comic is on hiatus so ch 8, hopefully the resolution to this shitshow, will be in October....

@Istvan90623 She didn't have a choice, the "hero" Gran has Charm Magic which he used on her to manipulate her feelings into one-sided love. She said that originally she did not want to leave her family's store to go with him.

@Feha Page 10 of chapter 1. All of them are part of the hero's party. Kaido isn't one of them.
Top to bottom it goes Hero - Gran, Swordsman - Christo, Magician - Giles, and Martial Artist - Liam.
