E-Rank Healer - Ch. 9

I hate the whole trope of "you want to be with this person? Well then you have to prove yourself to me in some way first!" as if they have any right to be making demands or have any say in other people's relationships. The very premise of it is stupid, and the execution invariably is too like we see in this chapter.
It's just a waste of time to read.
 
@Kryspy_Kreme similar, though Shirayuki didn't have her self-esteem crushed for 2 years. Though, on the flip side, Carol doesn't have an ongoing subplot of people scheming to see if the curtains match the carpets.
 
@FStubbs Indeed. Shirayuki doesn't have low self-esteem. Thanks to her grandparents, she learned to stand bravely for herself and for what she believes ever since (
and later, furthermore by Prince Zen
). And because of that,
she escaped before she was caught by a prince who had all the time, and authority to abuse, to trample all over her.

Magic also doesn't exist, or isn't like in an RPG like here, in Akagami. So, thankfully, there's no jerk to put a spell on Shirayuki. And may everyone around her
especially Prince Zen, and Obi
have mercy on the person who ever will.

And if I interpreted the latter of your comment correctly一 I apologize if I didn't一 I guess it's normal for them to have people with apple green hair unlike with Akagami. Or it isn't that of a big deal for them, and though a bit strange, thank god for that. So, that's one problem out of the shelf.
 
And in the exam, because her skills are so unorthodox, they'll be unable to classify them properly and she'll stay E-rank. Otherwise the title of this series make zero sense if she can increase her rank just like that.

For a mage he sure is short sighted on things he looks down on. All this and that about her lowering Kaido's rating whether or not she really has ability and only what people think rather than the truth matters. Carol sure did a good job using his arrogance against him. Hope she gets at least a B rank in the test although she might have a hard time with passing the more physical parts of the exam like beating a monster of a certain grade or sparring. After all, the high ranked adventurers have to show both knowledge and ability in the field.

Reminds me of those stans that rage in discovering their idol can fall in love with whoever they want.

Only thing agreeable is the rumors becoming a nuisance.

@Winchan Yeah you summed up my thoughts perfectly. Literally everything the dude mentioned had 0 meaning. Plus what if Kaido fell in love with a person that wasn't an adventurer at all? Would they still be going around spewing bullshit? Like do you expect her or him to just break it off because you said so? Court Mage is a fucking bonehead. Kinda annoyed that he was written like shit.
 
Finally! Finally somebody will give her a real rank! Why does she still believe that she's an e rank when Gran is a literal scammer?
 
Uhh " no contact for three days" ..... "Time limit is three days" didn't she lose?
 
This makes no sense he literally had proof they were using her she should just get like A-rank minium atleast after all of that
