That page is really well drawn.
I can feel her despair, and I still think that a very tragedy page.
It went back to comedy, but I don't complain about it.
@Abetillo
honwasabi only reached level 99 because she managed to kill a few heroes that were near death. then she was strong enough to kill them easily, so she kept leveling.
what i'm talking about is availability. Bael doesn't hang around right outside of towns, he/she is way the fuck around the demon castle. Honwasabi, on the other hand, has adventurers around all day every day, tons of exp mobs. it makes me wonder if the demon king has ever gotten a chance to fight on his own
also, yeah, it's not all about level, but stats definitely go up. regular goblins can't do the shit she can do, so why would a MUCH higher spec monster (one of the highest of the 72 demons) not be way more powerful at the same level?
it's true honwasabi has 0 resistance to magic (and status effects), but bael was fighting using physical attacks. i get the whole premise is GOBLIN IS STONG and i'm super behind that. it just makes me wonder why no one else is also strong
I'm pretty sure there was an earlier chapter where she fought another level 99 hero and it was pointed out that level 99 just means you can't grow anymore. How strong you are by that point depends on the individual's growth rate. So Honwasabi presumably has insane growth rates compared to most people.
I'm going to use a Pokémon analogy... god help us all.
Take an Arceus and a Sunkern and lets say both are level 100. Based on level alone they should be the same power right? Not even close as their base stats (which scale with level) are on completely opposite ends of the spectrum. Sunkern has a base of 30 across all its stats for a total of 180 while Arceus has a base 120 for a total of 720.
But to make it even more complicated you can have two Arceus' and one will be more powerful than the other because of beneficial and hindering natures as well as individual values in each stat and effort values (extra points in a stat gained from combat). So a hindering nature Arceus could have an attack stat of 220 base and 305 max while a beneficial nature one will have base of 269 and 372 max.
A maxed Miltank can have higher attack than a bad Arceus ffs. A pink fucking cow can outpower pokégod cause stat fuckery.
Goblin is like a max IV, beneficial nature Pokémon; all her base stats scale like a motherfucker and she's maxed out their effort values so they end up being much higher in practice than people would think.
@nobaka That Bael stays back and is way the fuck around the demon castle is your guess only, save if you can read the raws and have seen something the rest have not.
