About the siding with the mom thing, I don't think anyone will dispute the fact that she's an abusive nut who should face some consequences as well but let's be honest for a sec, who the hell would want their teenage daughter to hang out with a middle aged man?

@jazz9 I agree everyone in this series is a bit screwed in the head and what the dads in wrong. But comparatively to the other characters hes most in the right when ever Koto tried to push for an inappropriate relationship he stopped it and at certain point tried cutting off the relationship to be a proper dad to his daughter just due to serious of unfortunate events he gets screwed over when trying to do the right thing. We are just slowly seeing him devolve to slowly not caring about being response adult and parent since whenever he tries to do the right thing its fruitless.

I think he might grt screwed over banking on koto since he thinks shes only one genuine cares about him but she more so gets off on the idea of being a bad girl and being with him is her own release so when he does say eff it koto will really push him into a path of oblivion like she has.

Let's look at the email objectively. It's accusing him of some illegal stuff. He has yet to break any laws (have sex or sexual contact with a minor).

So the email doesn't provide any evidence or has any credibility. Firing someone based on nothing would be pretty hard to do and possibly illegal depending on the country's laws.

The email might as well be a lie sent from someone within the company wanting to get back at him for getting promoted when they didn't.

But with a serious allegation like that, you should probably do an investigation on him in case if it might be true. Both on PR, moral and civil service based grounds.
Because for the company it might turn into a big thing and any boss wouldn't want that.

@InsaneAwesomeTony Allegations are often enough, sadly. Even in the west, if you start making accusations like this, they can very easily stick with very little resistance because of how repulsive child abuse really is. The email plays up the situation because she doesn't even know the situation, and she doesn't even include the girls age so she's banking on them making up their own interpretation of what the email is saying. Kousuke could be forcing himself on a 11 year old for all they know.

Kousuke is in serious trouble right now. If they even give him the opportunity to defend himself, I hope he somehow doesn't freak out and maintains some sort of composure to deny the allegation, but even that may not be enough to save him.

Thing is, I don't agree with what Kousuke is doing. I understand his needs, I understand his stress, and I understand this girl had been coming onto him hard, but he needs to find a healthier outlet or at least wait until she's legal if he actually has any real feelings for her. That said, given his extenuating circumstances, I don't really want him to lose everything over this.
