@Jobslayer Probably not, that manga's premise is just based on old Japanese folklore to begin with. That question kind of reminds me of a time I saw someone ask if a nine tailed fox in something was a reference to Naruto. A lot of things in Naruto, including that, were just based on mythology that had already existed for a long time, but if that's the first thing someone sees it in it can create that impression of being a "source."

This chapter is like the NHS.

The moment there is no obvious cost to medical treatment, people show up in droves to get every little scratch dealt with and it takes hours or days for serious problems to be seen to.

Of course it will never be the horrifying opposite extreme of the American healthcare system where medical maladies put entire families in debt, but surely there has to be some kind of middle-ground. Like super-cheap-but-not-totally-free healthcare, so everyone can get it if they need it but don't feel inclined to abuse it needlessly.
