NEET dakedo Hello Work ni Ittara Isekai ni Tsuretekareta - Vol. 3 Ch. 22

This chapter was heavy on Elizabeth faces. Not complaining I loved them, specially the "loli of judgement" in page 24.

The novels have no flashback so the knight oath was only narrated briefly second hand. Nania and Elizabeth parents are original designs by the mangaka takano itsuki and not by the illustrator sameda koban.

I liked this change from the novels, after all I am left feeling that I would also want to serve such wonderful loli. Its easier to understand why Nania doesn't want to part ways, after all Elizabeth is special because her father educated beyond her noble status.

I don't know, feel like the duel wasn't needed. At least, the confession was somewhat refreshing.

this is it?

If Masaru loses... Orba gets jilted, and Masaru's harem gets a weird tagalong that makes things really awkward lol. On paper anyway, since all this really boils down to is Narnia's pride getting in the way of her personal desires.

@Rin2k and @PurpleBomber I think it boils down more to manliness. Not in the "toxic masculinity" kind of way but in the "provide and protect" kind of way.

Nania considers Masaru unfit to protect Elizabeth. He is a D rank adventurer and Elizabeth is B rank. He has been hunting rabbits sporadically for a 2 monthss. Meanwhile Elizabeth and Nania have been on the front lines with for 4 years in a party specialized on dragon hunting with 4 vanguards (Orba, Turks, Luven, Nania).

Masaru just confessed his feelings to Elizabeth and agreed to go adventuring with her. This duel serves to prove he can protect her.

Masaru also has the explicit ambition to build a harem and 2 girls have accepted his feelings (3 if you consider Satie but not there yet). He needs to prove the girls and himself he can actually do it, that he can protect and provide for them.

Imagine Masaru loses his duel "shit yo, from now on I will be tagging along with your girlfriend and protect her since you can't. Also I gave up on the love of my life because you suck so thanks for it."

I think it goes beyond "awkward" and gets into "soul draining"

Is that a school blazer in the last panel? Is she an Isekai protag as well?

@HDMI1: ... Did you forget what happened on the preceding pages? She obviously went to school with Eli using the connections to the latter's family as leverage to bypass the problem of her father being originally a commoner and thus a "fake" noble by the standards of the born aristocrats.
