NEET dakedo Hello Work ni Ittara Isekai ni Tsuretekareta

@JustNatsuki

Bingo. Voluntary action is the most important ingredient in ANY human interaction, whether it's sex (consent is key), economics (two people choosing to do business with each other), or government (ie, formed by the consent of the people).

That said, in a medieval fantasy world without modern ethics, the best some people could hope for is a kind master. I'm not sure what kind of rules keep someone from freeing a slave once acquired, though. I know that in one manga/LN I read, the demi-humans basically had no rights at all. Unless they were registered as a slave (and thus considered property) they could be captured and enslaved, or even raped and killed, at will. So keeping them as slaves offered them a measure of protection under the law that they wouldn't otherwise have.

Monthly Salary of around $2k USD even with daily commodities and paid rent is just barely above minimum wage lmao. But still better than a shitty part time job I guess.

@bssv2 That's just by our country's standards. Japan functions way differently than America, at least (I can't speak for other countries). You can easily afford to live by yourself off 250,000+ yen a month as long as you know how to budget (Which most adults do). Here in California, it's equivalent to about $21 an hour: not amazing pay, but not minimum wage. Just enough to get by and live a decent life.

Not that it matters in that world anyway. Yen, Dollars, Pesos, Pounds, etc. have no value there lol

Let's all pray they never make an anime adaptation, this manga needs to continue!

the slave he does get is indeed better off by meeting him then anything else, she is near-sighted to the point her HANDS are blurry when she extends them so she tripped constantly at her home. theoretically an ultimate super mega healing magic could fix it, but that would require finding someone that could cast such a spell, and then paying them to use it. her parents were farmers, they couldn't afford that. so she was a drain on her household because she was basically incapable of doing any jobs that require being able to see further then a foot from your face. and don't say the parents should have just sucked it up and took care of a basically useless person, that would have caused all of them to starve or something. so they sold her.

I think I've seen this storyline before. Probably a few hundred times.

Generic isekai trash. zzz

Man, these wimp MC's looks all the same in "Uh, another cliche isekai" mangas like this one.

Copied from my mini-rant about it on Twitter:

"'My life was shitty then I died. But then I woke up in a totally awesome fantasy world with crazy superpowers and whoa all these girls suddenly are in love with me.'

Isekai is nothing but trash-tier self-fulfillment for awful Japanese-Otaku writers."

(about Isekai in general, not just this one)

@Isekaijin Well, enslavement was a norm back in those ages before it got abolished. So having MC getting sent into those days when enslavement was still in practice...is nonthing bad sort of.

At least is not the usual slave crest that makes one unable to a refuse a absurd order, this is more of a employee that will work until death but must have basic needs satisfated by the master.
Even the way it got pushed on him makes me think he will not get others in future, and when the other girls could see him negatively for having bought a female slave it will probably change when they meet her and understand is a housekeeper(with unending love for the MC).

mhm agreed. It's like being a corporate slave but still having your own will.

Harem with no touching oath??!?! that just like having a big boobs wife but allergic to milk ??
