Roujoteki Shoujo Hinata-chan - Vol. 1 Ch. 7 - The Exciting Plum-like Process

ahh.. umeboshi.. delish.. i wonder why other people hate it so much..

and FBI-chans on last page.. kek..

@primrosea Ouch you saw through me haha, can’t take them off though they are embedded directly in my eyes. :p
It seemed strange to me that she was salivating over something she disliked.

i wonder if i would like them as i love sour food, but I didn't know kids had trouble with sour things, but that could be just japanese kids.

With her granny knowledge she should've known how to add in some sugar or honey...

That's plain basics for preserving fruits.

@breizh
nah,as I said it's reflex, you'll start salivating even if you hates it

@Liquidxlax
most ppl I know didn't really like sour things until certain age though, maybe it's Asian things? I don't really like to eat them and I'm in my thirties lol

@ampnaman
i don't think it'll be an umeboshi then, the sourness is their identity :p

@primrosea

Pickle or fermented product are popular across east and south east asia

Chinese probaby has the biggest variety

My place also have a lot of pickle product usually eat as snack sometimes as guilty pleasure, due to its sourness

Geez, how many plum trees does this pre-school have?

The oddball Moka aside, it's kinda strange that Hinata is totally okay with eating them too. Even if her mind's a granny, she's still physically a child, and children have very sensitive tastebuds at a young age.
My favorite food tended to change every few years while I was growing up.

I admit I was also salivating a bit more during the reading thinking about sour plum 😂

OH FUCK ALPHABET PEOPLE

I’M INNOCENT, I SWEAR

I’M INTO TOMBOYS, NOT LOLIS

Salt for pickling. What is that uh, brining? I don't know much about this general food subject since cucumbers are basically the only thing anyone here seems to eat pickled and I don't like 'em.

Every Japanese daycare is required to keep at least a dozen large glass jars just in case hundreds of plums need to be pickled at once.
