Roujoteki Shoujo Hinata-chan - Vol. 3 Ch. 21 - The Encounter-like Grandson of Today

Turns out Sadao is still a grandma's boy, how adorable. Doesn't look like there's going to be as much drama like I was expecting.

Oh thank god. I was afraid we'd have an actual "My grandson is a filthy thief and I have to rehabilitate him" arc. It just ends with a joke. That's good.

Well if he was being raised by his grandmother his parents are either dead or deadbeats.. so he probably went straight to foster care and didn’t get more than the minimum mandated education, which is middle school in Japan. A middle school diploma gets you nothing but poorly paid part time jobs and then you have a cycle of living pay check to pay check while running down your health. It’s very hard to get out of poverty once you’re trapped in it.
@stride That sounds pretty dramatic to me. Or were you expecting him to turn into a rebellious delinquent?

Kidnapping granny loli is a capital offense, or at least it should be. He is lucky he didn't actually do that.

@mojo Yeah, I was expecting him to be a rebellious delinquent. If he went that route, I was expecting alot of conflict between these two and I didn't want that. But him being a good kid means that they can tackle the problems together. I still expect a few conflicts between the two, but not as much there could have been if he were a stubborn delinquent.

Finally we're getting some plot. Can't wait until Hinata tries to play it off but probably sinks into old habits and somehow exposes herself, hilarity will ensue.

@kingalthur

Pretty sure that he has a job, but a really bad one. Hence why he had to steal out of necessity.

I was worried when he seemed to be starving. Looks like it's just plain old unsustainable working conditions.

Time for granny to take care of him again! ...And hopefully not get him arrested.

Got caught attempting stealing, got his junior exposed, then questioned by police.. what an encounter! 🤣
