The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic - Vol. 4 Ch. 19

@CelticMutt Usato's magic seems to be more useful in the sense that it can be used to buff and regenerate stamina. If he didn't have the strong body Rose forced him to gain he wouldn't be better than the heroes by a long shot

@Liquidxlax

I don't remember healing magic regenerates stamina. iirc, Usato's insane stamina and endurance is from his hellish training. The passive healing skill that was drilled into him allowed him to do training that is impossible for a normal human - all the muscle micro tears get healed immediately - the only limit is his mana and his endurance. It's pretty much like he's got magic steroids - wrong way to use healing magic indeed.

Usato doesn't really have buffing skills afaik. It's just wound healing and passive self-healing.

Well I would assume it's probably possible to heal the effects of exertion like muscle burn, tear, and whatnot, but if you're out of energy you're out of energy and there's no getting around that.

in kaifuku jutsushi, it's a different case
they acknowledge that the healer is important
so important that they choose to turn him into a mindless tool so he can't ask rewards fitting for his usefulness

in this manga, they are simply looking down on healers without even bothering to consider their role in battle.
even though there's a living example of how ridiculous a well-trained healer can do

it's illogical to say the least, and idiotic to be blunt

@yohane It seems like the people of Luqvis think that because their combat magic is strong, they don't have to worry about getting hurt, so they don't need healers, they are overestimating their own power. Plus they seem to think healers are only useful for healing, so they have little use in actual combat, they are rare so there aren't that many, as long as it's not a big injury they can heal it (remember anyone can use healing magic but if it isn't your affinity it's only a minor heal), and only 2 of them are stupidly strong because of Captain Roze. It also seems like they think since the healing mage they know is weak, all healers are weak.

It's probably just a society too steeped into the belief that offensive magic is everything. "Why would I need a healer if my opponent is burnt to ash already?" or probably something like that.

@RedScaleWyrm

more so, it's probably something like Kaze no Stigma or alot of the stories with fixed magic affinities. They probably have a history of using magic for war and violence in general so the types of magic that have the most obvious means of causing harm is considered "better" or even "more noble" as the ancestors of those in power built themselves on using it to beat down on others. As time goes on, the other kinds of magic will show more uses as people become wiser but those who built their esteem on those more simple and aggressive magics will try to (violently) deny the change or the potential for change as everything that benefits them is dependent on the old world order that was based on ignorance.

Nice champion releasing the chaps that they forget to release 4 month ago
Ty for your hard job.

@RedScaleWyrm
Imo, TLDR -- while playing a game, who wants to be the healer? You don't hate them, but if anyone would say: "You're weaker than a healer", you'll obviously take offense to that. How can a warrior be inferior to a healer in combat?
That being said, it is pretty strange if healers are disrespected directly.

@Solipsist
People who don't know how to appreciate a healer are stupid. Especially if they are Good enough to keep your team alive.
A warrior can't keep fighting if his body is full of wounds now can he?
So the concept of healers being downgraded is pretty retarded from an army and party stand point.
They could just all move out of the country and just join the others that respect them and let all of those people die from the lack of healers.

Video game logic from an isekai is par for the course. For those who don't like playing healer in games: In an mmorpg, the healer is a pet class. You just summon players.

dammit it ended when it finally got to the interesting part.... i want to see the MC beat up the stuck up students lol

@kenkagejack
I spit my water out when I read your comment. It was hilarious :)
It also makes an incredible amount of sense. In fact, when I played WoW I was a healer with a pet tank we both laughingly called my 'pocket paly'.

Squint-eyed characters are individuals someone should always keep an eye out . And not get on their bad side
