Toshiue Elite Onna Kishi ga Boku no Mae de dake Kawaii - Vol. 1 Ch. 1.2

Let's see, the MMC is:

--Manipulative: Check
--Deceitful: Check
--A stalker: Check
--An actual child: Check

Yep, seems like a great choice! Nothing can go wrong here!

@rebel16

Just your average Corruption/Mind Control H-Manga MMC. Waiting until FMC falls into his clutch....
...oh wait, this is a SFW romcom manga.

FMC is cute, but MC is start getting on my nerves (╯─‿‿─)╯︵ ┻━┻

@rebel16 Only the last two are true, but did you not see the genre tags? Did you not read the prologue(chapter 0), or even the first chapter? It’s obvious the “stalking” is being done in a comedic way because it’s, you know, a comedy. You act like people disguising themselves and following/eavesdropping hasn’t been done in a comedic way before. IIRC, chapter 0 also revealed both of their ages from the get go, so you could have just, you know, stopped reading it if the age gap bothered you. It also revealed what type of personality the male lead would have. Now if you’re not actually complaining and are just making observations, then I apologize.
Edit: just now saw that the ages are literally in the description. There’s also a shota tag. If that makes you uncomfortable, just don’t read it. It’s that simple. If there are themes in a manga that make me uncomfortable, I just stop reading it and move on.

@liquidsword They're only bitching about his stalking because it's a guy stalking a girl; nobody gives two shits when the genders are reversed, like you see en masse in almost every single rom com to ever exist, especially harems, where there's often a stack of 3-4 girls stalking a single guy when he's alone with another girl.

@Vincentius Exactly. I don’t even know why I bother reading the mangadex comments. Like I said, one look at the tags and the prologue would have told you what this manga was gong to be like that. It’s like they purposely ignored the tags just to come here and complain. I’m not the biggest fan of the manga subreddit, but at least, for the most part, they don’t complain about the dumbest things.

Context @rebel16. It's never portrayed as anything but comical, and he's not a child given this is probably the middle ages and he'd be considered young, but not so young that it's out of the question. Also, it's not anything more extreme on the "stalker" front than what you normally get from a comedy where the friends are trailing someone to spy on them, which is worse in real life but in a setting like this, is played for laughs.

Also one final note, he's not that deceitful as it's more the trickster archetype, as he does genuinely love her, but is just playing coy and witty so she shares her true colors around him because he thinks its cute how she gets embarrassed.

@liquidsword @Tamerlane Yeah, I'm just making observations. As for the points I noted, baiting and teasing someone to provoke a reaction is manipulation; disguising oneself to eavesdrop on a conversation is both deception and stalking; and it really doesn't matter at what age society considers one to be an adult, the MMC still has a decade of brain development ahead of him, at the *end* of which the parts that deal with decision-making will solidify. It's just disappointing how frequently things like this are played for laughs with no recognition of how damaging they can be when applied in real life. Still, I'll give this a shot; maybe we'll get miraculously lucky and she'll turn out to be interested in someone else and this kid will get a lesson in dealing with heartbreak.

@rebel16: You complain about his so-called "manipulation", "stalking" and "deception" for being played off for laughs because they don't touch upon the reality of things. Where are your complaints when practically every children's cartoon show on TV plays off all manners of physical violence for laughs without regard for the very real harm and even deaths that it would bring when children naively imitate the same actions?

Don't pretend to have the moral high ground when you don't actually have it.

@MarqFJA87 I'm discussing this manga, in this comment thread intended for discussing this manga. Don't pretend that media must be consumed without criticism when you can't even understand the context of this forum. It's also fallacious to demand that one must have clearly and loudly expressed identical views on every preceding piece of media before one is allowed to comment about one in particular. Your defensiveness seems to indicate that I've hit some sort of nerve. Perhaps you would care to explain the reasons for that in rational discussion rather than lashing out and making baseless assumptions about other commenters' motives?

@rebel16 I think I’ll just block you so I don’t have to see your idiotic comments anymore. You’re just ignoring what we’re saying and regurgitating the same shit over and over again.
