Each of the last few chapters have introduced characters and concepts that are called upon later. From the method by which the swordswoman empowered herself, to the dynamics between the characters and how that foreshadows their development and the ways in which they influence later events. But instead of picking up on, entertaining the notion of, or remotely giving a fuck about any of that, people are mad because the author isn't non-stop jacking off the MC and is instead doing a bit of world building via character interaction. Sometimes I love seeing comments, and then other times like today I hate it. I hate seeing a bunch of idiots upset when anything other than "Me MC, me hit strong guy, but win because me strongererer guy" is on the page. "What's that? Someone looked at the MC funny? Guess he better kill them", cry the idiots of the comment section, with no thought to how that may be a bad idea in the setting and a boring option overall. No wonder there's so many copy paste chinese cultivator comics out there, idiots like these are waiting to eat that shit up.
