Yikes. The dad was frankly a piece of work. But he got out of the situation, has a job, is trying to do the right thing by his underage daughter. She doesn't need to forgive him, but wow, "I was being held hostage and I LIKED IT DAD. Thanks for ruining my time in captivity, ya prick!!"

Not gonna lie, this series feels really gross to me, and I'm all for yuri. I've been more or less joking about it before but she is legitimately a victim of Stockholm syndrome, so I just can't get behind it no matter how warm and comfy they try to paint the relationship. There's too huge an imbalance of power in that relationship.

Frankly I'm amazed they even tried to paint the dad as recovering on the right path instead of just a piece of shit from start to finish. Even she realized how retarded she sounded when she blew up at him.

Well the dad literally abandoned her when it started to get hot and left her to be devoured by the yakuza. If not of a 'good' money lender she would be working in a brothel right now. So it is perfectly natural that she feels insecure around him. Actually he deserves a lot harsher words than what she used.

Well the yuri part is kinda sketchy I can admit that. To be honest I was counting more on a more platonic stepmother/elder sister relationship than for a fully fledged romance.
